The last day of the Wills India Fashion Week, A/W 2012 was a first for 5 brilliant young designers who make the future of fashion seem brighter and a year that we all should look forward to.
Among them was Sakshee Pradhan, whose first prêt collection was showcased in her debut show ‘Urban Romance’ on 19th Feb, was a pleasant collection of a variety of textures and shades of beige, off white and Muted Gold. The designer, her own label ‘Schon’ which was launched earlier this year, is inspired by the modern woman; evidently the collection had a cosmopolitan and an urban tone to it. The collection had gowns, tunics, shimmery trousers and shorts in nude, muted colours. It had the classic taste of the sophistication of the modern woman of today who stands by her elegance.
The Czech-Pakistani model turned actor Nargis fakhri looked gracefully elegant in her shimmering trousers and an asymmetric flowing top as she sashayed down the ramp as the show stopper for Pradhan’s show. Nargis was quoted “The collection beautifully represents various moods of the women today. I am very enthralled to be a part of this show.”
