Gender stereotypes - wonderful illustrations by Carol Rosetti

Fashion fights with stereotypes. Over the years the industry has broken many norms and honestly it is great to see the crowd catching on too. And yet the war rages on as the resistance to change is strong.

While in India one cannot determine the sex of the child before birth, the west is comfortable with pre natal sex determination. Which also means that what colour the baby's wallpaper would be is a choice based on its gender.

Strangely the gift shop at a women special hospital in Delhi had gifts for the newborn in the stereotypical colours too...
I find that weird... i love babies in pink, blue, green, yellow and all the other million colours you have on the pallette.

A brilliant illustrator Carol Rosetti caught my eye on Facebook recently mirroring my thoughts.
Beautifully done. Check out her website HERE
